Can you commit to under-served communities?

Being a volunteer in Action10 is a serious assignment. We raise hope among under-served communities and we have the duty to not fail our partners nor challenge their hope. Being a volunteer staff of Action10 is a commitment to under-served communities.

Action10 team members must be experienced in related fields, and mature in their understanding of cross-cultural respect. They must have intrinsic motivation, and be agencies for change. They must be aware of and clear over their own motivation, why they want to join Action10 actually. Members must also have enough time to invest and intend to remain for a longer period of time, years.

Are you passionate about improving livelihoods?

Team members of Action10 must not be driven by pity nor a post-colonial superior attitude. Also, people who enjoy routine work, who depend on very firm instructions about what to do, or have eccentric motivation, such as a mark in a CV och social get-together to chill with other people, do actually not fit into the team of Action10. But those who have passion about improving livelihoods in under-served communities, are innovative, self-driven, goal-oriented, who deliver results on time, are excellent team players with supportive and positive attitudes, they are perfect matches to Action10 and we welcome them to the Action10 family with loving hearts.

Content Creator for Media Team

We are looking for a volunteer to join our Media Team and assist us with content creation for our social media platforms. The role is crucial to Action10 as you will help us increase our visibility on social media and attract potential donors. The position involves making reels, stories, and posts for Instagram and Facebook with content related to the work of Action10 and in line with our core values. 

Requirements and skills:

  • Cross-cultural understanding and interest
  • Experience from working in Africa or with African organisations/companies is a plus
  • Creative and a problem solver
  • Good communicator in both written and oral forms
  • Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English
  • Have experience in content creation

We require individuals who have a perspective and vision to make a change. You should be flexible, selfless, and committed because you are in a position where you are relied upon. Time commitment requirements:

5-10 hours per week of independent work with flexible time, plus 2 meetings per month (approximately 4 hours total) on evenings of the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. Potential to meet in Stockholm.

Team Africa volunteers (2 team members)

We are looking for diligent, passionate, and organised volunteers to join our Team Africa. We have an open position for two team members.

As a volunteer within ACTION10’s Team Africa, your responsibilities include providing overall support to our activities, particularly by taking part in monthly meetings, generating ideas to improve the efficiency of our actions, organizing physical and digital events to promote cross-cultural relations, raising funds and managing relationships with current and potential donors and supporting our teams in Sweden and in Africa.

The role requires being very comfortable in both written and spoken English, availability to attend online meetings a couple of times a month, as well as a strong capacity to work autonomously and proactively and set your own methods and priorities.

Requirements and skills:

  • Cross-cultural understanding and interest
  • A creative person with a taste for idea-generating in the NGO sector
  • Good communicator in both written and oral forms
  • Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English
  • Experience from working in Africa or with African organizations and knowledge/relations with African communities in Sweden are a plus
